A True Summer Vacation, Part 2: CSA 2017: Week 10

My trip to Rock Island with our girls was so very special. Just got home at 10pm and put their dirty, lovely little camping bodies in bed. I’m grateful to be home. Grateful to Mike for making it possible for us to have this adventure. Grateful to our friends for including us. Here are a few words from the experience. 

Cold Lake Michigan water
Eagles with fish in talons flying over to screaming eaglets
Sleeping Juna on the beach
Wolf spiders
Granola Bars
Campfire stories
Boat Ferries
Phoebes calling to one another in the trees.
Adult time at the campfire after the kids are asleep.
Drip sand castles.
Poison Ivy.
Water snakes.
Carved rocks.
Blue blue water.
Sweatshirts at night.
Waves lulling sleep.
A moon so bright no flashlights necessary.
Thimble berries.
Group hiking.
Children in the sand, wind blowing hair.
Lake baths.
Old Maid.
Sleeping bag snuggles.
