Soy-Roasted Green Beans
1 T sesame oil
1/2 T soy sauce
1 T rice wine or dry sherry
1-2 garlic clove, minced
1 bag (1/2 to 1 pound) green beans
freshly ground black pepper
1Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Lightly oil a large shallow roasting or half sheet pan.
2 In a small bowl, combine the sesame oil, soy sauce, rice wine, and garlic.
3 Arrange the green beans in a single, uncrowded layer in the pan. Drizzle the sauce over the beans and roll until evenly coated.
4 Roast for about 15 minutes, until the beans are well browned, shaking the pan occasionally for even cooking.
5 Transfer the beans to a serving bowl and season with pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
