Broccoli Pesto (contributed by CSA member Jane Held)

Yields1 Serving
 2 cups raw broccoli florets
  1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
  2 garlic scapes minced (or 2 cloves of garlic)
  1/4 cup pine nuts
  1/2 tsp salt
  1/4 tsp black pepper
  1 cup olive oil
  1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  1 lb pasta

Prepare pasta according to directions.

Process broccoli in food processor. Add basil, garlic. pine nuts, salt, pepper and oil. Process until smooth. Add cheese.

Toss into warm pasta. Extra pesto may be frozen.
