Simple Red Cabbage Salad


1/2 C canola oil

2/3 C red wine vinegar

1 T white sugar

1 t salt

1 t seasoned salt

1/4 t ground black pepper

1/4 t onion powder

1 head red cabbage, cored and shredded

Optional: toss in crumbled blue cheese!


1In a bowl, mix the canola oil, red wine vinegar, sugar, salt, seasoned salt, pepper, and onion powder.

2 Place the cabbage in a large glass bowl. Pour dressing over cabbage, and toss to coat.

3 Cover, and refrigerate 8 hours, or overnight, stirring occasionally.

4 Drain before serving.
