Photographing Crossroads – Week #2 – 6/19/19

 In CSA Newsletter

Caroline has been a CSA member of our farm for many years. She’s come to lots of the events and is the proud owner of the testimonial I use when presenting the concept of CSA to potential new members.

Caroline is also a photographer. So last year when I wrote a newsletter lamenting my lack of skill and discomfort when marketing, and Caroline offered her help as a photographer, I leapt at the opportunity!

Over the cold months we talked about the types of photographs that would be great to have for the farm, how I might be able to share them with you all, and how we might be able to feed Caroline in exchange for her artistic talent.

And so for the first time ever, we have a professional photographer helping us document farm work throughout the season.

Every couple of weeks Caroline comes out with her camera (and sometimes her kids) and takes pictures of whatever is going on at the farm. Snow was on the ground when she first started coming in March.

It’s really fun to see her eye translated into photographs. She captures so much beauty on the farm, as well as the general essence of the work we do.

I post her pictures on social media through our facebook page and our instagram page.  This is a great place to see the behind the scenes work that goes into the food you receive! We do hope you’ll enjoy these photos. Links to those sites are listed at the top of this newsletter.

Thanks for reading and enjoy your veggies!
