Broccoli Pesto (contributed by CSA member Jane Held)
2 cups raw broccoli florets
1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
2 garlic scapes minced (or 2 cloves of garlic)
1/4 cup pine nuts
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 cup olive oil
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 lb pasta
1Prepare pasta according to directions.
2 Process broccoli in food processor. Add basil, garlic. pine nuts, salt, pepper and oil. Process until smooth. Add cheese.
3 Toss into warm pasta. Extra pesto may be frozen.
