Unistar Island: Summer Week #7 – 7/23/25

I am on vacation with my  3 girls. I am pre-writing this newsletter on Friday night.

I will spend a whole week in northern Minnesota enjoying my children and the other folks we vacation in community with each summer.

Maybe I’ll be reading a book when you get this…

Or napping in a hammock….

Or paddle boarding around the island with my eldest….

Or swimming with my youngest….

Or practicing a duet with my middle daughter (fingers crossed she’ll do it!)…

Or hiking in the gorgeous woods amidst the hermit thrushes and bat sized mosquitoes…

Or jumping off the dock…

Or trying to sail clumsily…

It’s going to be great. It always is.

A special thanks to Farmer Michael who is gonna hold it ALL down. And basically do 2 jobs all week.

And more thanks: To Claire who is helping with dogs, watering, and mowing. To Samson who will be point on Greenhouse. To Fales who will take care of the pigs and chickens and cats.  To Seth Jake who will fill in all the gaps, his loyalty solid. And to the rest of my wonderful crew who will skillfully do their jobs without me around, cause they’ve got it DOWN.
